KINGS DOMINION ANNOUNCES TWO NEW EVENTS TO JOIN HAUNT IN FALL LINEUP

Press Release from Kings Dominion:

DOSWELL, VA – Kings Dominion today announced details for its lineup of fall events, featuring the debut of two all-new daytime events Oktoberfest and Tricks and Treats, along with the unveiling of “MonsterCon”, an all-new haunted maze at Halloween Haunt.

“With the addition of Tricks and Treats and Oktoberfest to our lineup of fall events, we’re able to offer unforgettable memories our guests,” said Bridgett Bywater vice president and general manager of Kings Dominion. “With one ticket, you can enjoy the best of the season with family-friendly experiences during the day and frights at night.”

In a change from last year, purchase of a single ticket permits entry into all daytime and nighttime events. A separate purchase for Halloween Haunt is no longer needed.

OKTOBERFEST

Experience Germany’s world-famous Oktoberfest at Kings Dominion! The newest daytime edition to the lineup of fall events will feature imported German Oktoberfest beer, and authentic German food like Bavarian pretzels, bratwursts and spätzle to enjoy amid a festive atmosphere around the park’s most popular rides and attractions.

Oktoberfest’s live entertainment begins with a daily keg tapping ceremony and includes polka bands filling the air with traditional German music, a stein holding contest and other activities for all ages like yard games and color-by-numbers mural.

Entry into the event is included with park admission. Oktoberfest takes place on Saturdays and Sundays, September 21 – November 3 from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

TRICKS AND TREATS

The new family-friendly daytime event Tricks and Treats is sure to be a spooky crowd pleaser with an overflowing candy-bucket full of entertainment and activities for ghouls of all ages.

Live entertainment includes a dance party full of funky Halloween tracks from DJ Knuckles at the Skelebration! Dance Party. Guests can also participate in a costume contest where kids and parents can parade their way to the stage for prizes from the host in the categories of most original, cutest, and scariest costumes. Guests can also get in the spirit of the season with mask making, a pumpkin decorating station and a trick or treat trail. There will also be plenty of midway games to play where everybody wins.

Entry into Tricks and Treats is included with park admission. Tricks and Treats takes place on Saturdays and Sundays, September 21 – November 3, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

HALLOWEEN HAUNT

Returning this fall is the perennially spooktacular Halloween Haunt event. As darkness creeps in across the landscape, monsters creep their way into mazes and scare zones located throughout the park.

This year’s feature is a new maze called MonsterCon. Something has gone grotesquely wrong during the opening day of a horror convention! Attendees expected to see exhibits and revel in the excitement of all things horror, but the monsters on the exhibit floor have somehow come to life and banded together to ensure that no one will make it out alive.

The newest maze joins the lineup of five other mazes:  F.E.A.R.; CornStalkers: Blood Harvest; Trick or Treat; Blood on the Bayou, and GrimmWoods, and the returning scare zones: Masquerade; Uprising; Cleaver Brothers Carnival; Site X; and Pumpkin Eater for nighttime entertainment that’s a total scream.

Live entertainment accompanies the mazes and scare zones with returning favorites like Conjure the Night, Black Widow Burlesque and Big Top Band.

Halloween Haunt occurs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays September 20 through November 3, with the opening scare-emony at 7:00 p.m., though several attractions open at 6:00 p.m., and continue until park’s close.

Guests who purchase a 2025 Gold Pass will receive unlimited visits and free parking the remainder of the 2024 season, plus the entire 2025 season. That includes visits to Oktoberfest, Tricks & Treats, Halloween Haunt, and WinterFest.
