KINGS DOMINION ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR 50TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2025

DOSWELL, VA – Kings Dominion today released details for the park’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2025. The park plans to celebrate its vibrant past, thrilling present and breathtaking future with reimagined live entertainment, new culinary creations, special activities and a world record-setting roller coaster.
"For nearly five decades, Kings Dominion has been a place where Virginians come together to have fun and make memories, and that's just what our guests can expect in 2025 as Kings Dominion celebrates its 50th anniversary," said Bridgette Bywater, vice president and general manager of Kings Dominion. "We will pay tribute to our rich history with the addition of new specialty food offerings, live entertainment, a nighttime spectacular, and of course, the opening of the most anticipated coaster of next season, the record-breaking Rapterra."
Entertainment is set to take center stage during the 50th anniversary celebration, with live shows, experiences and performances taking place throughout the park, including an all-new set of tunes from the beloved Singing Mushrooms located in the Candy Apple Grove section of the park, a high-energy roaming street party and the return of the popular Kings Dominion Clown Band. In addition, the Kings Dominion Theater makes a grand return, with captivating family-friendly shows. As the sun sets, prepare for electrifying entertainment along International Street and the Eiffel Tower, as the all-new nighttime spectacular comes to life with brilliant lights and special effects synchronized to a special golden anniversary soundtrack. The full lineup and entertainment schedule will be announced at a later date.
Delicious, limited-time food and drink offerings will be available from a menu inspired by the past, present and future of the park. The new menu items will be full of both savory delights and sweet treats and will be accompanied by special beverages. Past favorites will be making an appearance alongside new food and beverage items throughout the season.
Special, limited-time displays will start a walk down memory lane with interactive artifacts from the park’s past, igniting memories of special moments shared with family and friends at Kings Dominion. Exclusive 50th anniversary merchandise will also be available for purchase beginning next year.
Also, as previously announced, guests will have the chance to conquer the skies on Rapterra, the world’s tallest and longest launched wing coaster, during the 2025 season.
Season Passes for next season are on sale now. When guests purchase a 2025 Gold Pass now, they will receive unlimited visits and free parking for the remainder of the 2024 season, plus the entire 2025 season for just 10 payments of $7, after an initial payment.
