Viva La Música at SeaWorld San Diego is Bigger and Better than Ever During its 60th Anniversary Celebration with Expanded Concert Line-Up, More Entertainment, and New Culinary Menu

SAN DIEGO, CA (April 29, 2024) – Viva La Música is back at SeaWorld San Diego every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from May 3 to May 19, celebrating Latin culture through live music, entertainment, new, flavorful food and festive decor. This year, the family-friendly event is bigger and better than ever as SeaWorld celebrates its 60th Anniversary. The music and the fun has expanded throughout the park with ‘So Much more to Sea’ including all headlining concerts at Bayside Amphitheater included with park admission, musical performances throughout the day by cultural and local groups, low rider car shows, and more!

Guests are invited to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Latin culture while exploring all that SeaWorld has to offer, including the variety of animals at the park and the family-friendly rides and thrill coasters. 

Sensational Live Latin Musical Performances

Bayside Amphitheater, SeaWorld’s popular outdoor performance venue, is reopening for the year with an incredible lineup of concerts for guests to enjoy every Saturday and Sunday evening at 6 p.m. The Viva La Música concert series is included with park admission and the lineup includes:

  • May 4: Mariachi Divas - Enjoy a spirited mix of melodies, ranging from American pop music to Mexican folk songs and traditional tunes—all sung by the all-female Mariachi Divas, a groundbreaking, two-time Grammy® Award-winning musical group celebrating their 25th anniversary.

  • May 5: Pablo Montero – Pablo Montero is a Grammy® nominated singer and renowned actor whose catalog of romantic Latin music is beloved throughout the world.

  • May 11 & 12: Graciela Beltran – Tejano singer Graciela Beltran is widely known as one of regional Mexican music’s must influential female voice. Her releases have topped numerous Billboard Latin categories and the Top Latin Album charts.

  • May 18 & 19: La Original Banda el Limón - For over two decades, the 16-member band La Original Banda El Limón has been entertaining audiences with a unique blend of traditional banda sounds and modern musical elements. Guests will experience the infectious rhythms, lively horn sections, and powerful vocals!

In addition, there will be exciting displays at SkyTower Lawn, including classic lowrider cars and lowrider remote control cars, as well as Folklorico dancers who will share the history, traditions and culture of Mexican folklore through the art of music and dance. Plus, Flamenco guitarist David De Alva and dancer Vanessa Ordonez will be bringing the flare and allure of Flamenco and share their passion for Spanish music and dance at the beautiful Waterfront.

Spiced Up Food and Drinks All Weekend Long

In addition to amazing live concerts, the festival includes a variety of dining locations where guests can savor authentic, Latin-inspired drinks and dishes, including:

 

  • Fruteria offers tasty and refreshing ALL-NEW Latin-style snacks including Tostilocos, Vaso de Fruta and Chamango, all combining Mexican spices with fresh fruit or veggies. Plus, enjoy ALL-NEW Chicharrón and Sweet Chicharrón.

  • Taqueria is serving freshly made-to-order tacos including chicken tinga tacos, carnitas tacos, and a vegetarian option of pulled jackfruit plant-based tacos. Plus, enjoy Esquites and the returning favorite churro cheesecake, complete with whipped cream and caramel.

  • Nachos and Tortas is grilling the finest of meat choices with Carnitas or Carne Asada Nachos and Tortas de Carne Asada or Jamón. Cool down with the returning favorite Fresas Con Crema, a delicious blend of strawberries, vanilla and cream.

Cinco de Mayo Drink Specials

To kick off the Viva La Musica event and in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, SeaWorld is offering discounts on margaritas on Friday, May 5. At Manta Bar and Explorer’s Café Bar, guests can enjoy a 16 oz. refreshing Classic Margarita for $10. At Underwater Cantina’s Happy Hour, guests can purchase a Mezcal Margarita for $4. Happy Hour is valid 4 p.m. until park closing.
