Soak City, Minnesota’s Favorite Waterpark, Opens Memorial Day Weekend

Minneapolis, MN (May 18, 2023) – Valleyfair, the region’s premier amusement park, will open its Soak City Waterpark on Saturday, May 27, at 11 a.m. Kids will love Barefoot Beach, with pint-sized slides, geysers and fountains of fun. Test your courage on our four capsule drop slides, Breakers Pipeline, fill up on yummy treats at Beach Bites, lounge in personal cabanas, listen to beach-vibe music, and so much more.
The Opening Day for Soak City will feature specialty food such as our Mini Wipeout - a perfect combination of our Wipeout Platter favorites, only smaller! The assortment includes jumbo fried shrimp, chicken tenders, a cheeseburger slider, and waffle fries. Looking for a refreshing treat after? Try our Margarita Mousse, a creamy mousse with a refreshing burst of citrus lime that creates the perfect combination of sweet and tart. We will also offer beer sampling throughout the weekend from local breweries.
Guests will enjoy special entertainment, fun and games, and giveaways. Season Passholders get in early at 10 a.m. to select attractions in the waterpark and get an additional discount on select hats for only $10 all weekend.
Service members (current military and veterans) can take advantage of Military Days including free admission to our entire park and discounted tickets for their friends and family throughout Memorial Day weekend (May 26-29).
