Minneapolis, MN (April 11, 2023) – Valleyfair, the region’s premier amusement park, will open to the public on Sunday, May 14, thus beginning an exciting and fun new season. Along with 75 attractions, including eight roller coasters, a 15-acre waterpark, and an expansive kids area with Planet Snoopy, Valleyfair will offer a season filled with events and festivals, seasonally scrumptious food and refreshments, and exciting new entertainment.
Raul Rehnborg, vice president and general manager of Valleyfair, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season as the park prepares to welcome back guests and season passholders. “With a focus on enhancing the overall guest experience, we are thrilled to bring back popular and immersive park-wide events like Grand Carnivale, Latin Days, and Tricks and Treats, our new family-friendly Halloween event. In addition, Valleyfair will be introducing innovative food and beverage options and exciting entertainment, providing something for everyone in the family to enjoy.”

Soak City Waterpark Opening
May 27, 2023
Get ready to jump into gallons of awesome splish-splashin' family fun as Soak City opens for the 2023 season. Kids will love Barefoot Beach, with pint-sized slides, geysers, and fountains of fun. Test your courage on our four-capsule drop slide, Breakers Pipeline. Fill up on yummy treats at Beach Bites, lounge in personal cabanas, listen to beach-vibe music, sip on margaritas, participate in giveaways and so much more. Season Passholders get in to Soak City an hour before opening.

Experience how the world kicks up its heels at our day-to-night, larger-than-life, international celebration. Enjoy pulse-pounding, high-energy live music, delicious international food, lively games, and unique crafts. Take in the extravagant sights and sounds of our nighttime Spectacle of Color Parade, a glittering sensory spectacular of lavish floats, interactive street performers, and pulsing rhythms. As the parade concludes, thunderous music leads to a block party filled with animated entertainers, spirited dancing, scrumptious eats, and so much more.

Fourth of July Fireworks

Where is the best spot in town for the Fourth of July Fireworks? The top of Power Tower, of course! Valleyfair's fireworks show is back and bigger than ever. Bring the whole family to the park to enjoy a day spent on all your favorite thrills, cool off in Soak City Waterpark, and cap off the night with fireworks to celebrate America's birthday.
Latin Days
August 5-6, 2023
Back by popular demand, this is the one Latin festival in Minnesota you don’t want to miss. Join us for a weekend full of live musical and dance performances, authentic Latin foods, and a celebration of the Latin cultural tapestry. Performances from local Latin music and dance groups will be held at Superior Stage and are free with park admission.

Halloween for Everyone!
Valleyfair's Tricks and Treats event is a gotta-be-there Halloween event packed with fun and family-friendly eeriness. Explore the Land of Tricks, promising playfully spooky and weird adventures. Stroll the charming boulevards of the Land of Treats with all the nostalgia of a cozy fall festival. Plus, we’ve got skeleTONS of delicious seasonal treats, drinks and candy. Our most popular rides will be open too.
NEW THIS YEAR
Silver Season Pass: New this year, our Silver Pass includes all-day access to all areas of the park and seasonal events, every day except Saturdays. Other great benefits include free parking, Pass Perks, discounts, and access to our Season Pass Preview event. Only $79 plus taxes and fees.
Xtreme Confections: This new food location will serve up some exciting new desserts including Elephant Ears, Funnel Cake Fries, Tiramisu, Mini Donut Sundaes, and so much more.
Wild Thing Brews and Spirits: Getting an amazing local brew or mixed drink is easier with our new Wild Thing Brews and Spirits bar located near the Wild Thing coaster.
Northern Lights Novelties: Be dazzled by our new novelty shop, Northern Lights Novelties, where we specialize in all things bright and beautiful.
New Entertainment: We are thrilled to announce two new acts and one new Peanuts shows to our lineup of park entertainment. Planet Snoopy Stage offers rotating shows and the addition of a delightful new show for the younger set: Jungle Journey. On top of that, Soak City will offer acoustic beach-vibe tunes by The Drifters duo while Work Zone, a brass band, will be roaming throughout the park.
