Carowinds Reveals 2024 Event Lineup

Charlotte, N.C. (February 6, 2024)—Carowinds is gearing up to welcome guests for the 2024 operating season, starting on Saturday, March 9, with Opening Weekend. Every season brings fresh reasons to explore the park, and this year is no exception. Carowinds is set to offer a series of special seasonal events designed to delight the entire family.
The newly introduced Aeronautica Landing, an aviation-themed area, continues to provide an immersive experience tailored for adventurers of all ages. This area, named 10th on the "Best New Attraction 2023" by USA Today 10Best, boasts two dining options and six rides.
Carowinds has plans for growth and rockin' investment during the summer, with more exciting announcements on the horizon.
An overview of seasonal events at Carowinds:
Opening Weekend (March 8-March 10): Season Passholders will enjoy an exclusive opportunity to be among the first to experience Carowinds in 2024 with an exclusive Passholder Day on March 8.
Spring Break (Daily, March 29-April 7): During this limited-time spring event, entertainment offerings include The Marvelous Mutts, a thrilling canine spectacular sports entertainment show. Snoopy will return to Carowinds as the Easter Beagle and meet with guests throughout the Easter weekend in Camp Snoopy.
Carolina Harbor Waterpark (May 25): Make a splash at the Carolina Harbor Waterpark when it reopens for the season.
Tricks and Treats (Saturdays and Sundays, September 14-October 27): Prepare for an all-new family-friendly Halloween event. This festive celebration of the season features playful tricks of Halloween activities for children and adults, delightful treats with seasonal culinary offerings, and a chance to enjoy some of Carowinds' most popular family rides. Returning for the second season, the Tricks and Treats Parade showcases Halloween-themed floats.
SCarowinds (select nights, September 13-October 27): SCarowinds is back with frights that will bring your deepest nightmares to life. Brave guests will confront their darkest fears and encounter monsters while exploring Carowinds' spine-chilling scare zones, mazes, and ominous shows. Specially crafted foods and themed adult beverages enhance the immersive experience. Select attractions will be open during SCarowinds.
For the first time since its debut in 2000, SCarowinds will no longer require a separate ticket. This change aims to enhance the guest experience, streamline the entry, and extend the opportunity for season pass holders to enjoy the park longer.
WinterFest (select nights, November 15-December 31): Embrace the holiday spirit at Carowinds' WinterFest, a cherished holiday tradition in the Carolinas. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in dazzling light displays featuring millions of shimmering lights, enjoy ice skating, partake in family activities, savor delectable holiday-inspired comfort food, and explore festive live entertainment and attractions. The WinterFest Wonderland Parade, a nightly Christmas parade, features lavishly decorated floats, festive music, and talented performers.
New Year's Eve at WinterFest (December 31): Carowinds hosts the only family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration on the state line. The event includes special fireworks, live entertainment, extended hours, and Carowinds' signature rides and attractions.
Seasonal firework displays are scheduled to celebrate Memorial Day (May), Independence Day (July), and Labor Day (September).

The 2024 Silver Season Pass includes unlimited visits to Carowinds, including Carolina Harbor Waterpark through Labor Day, along with complimentary parking.
