Out-Of-This-World Eclipse Watch Party Planned for SeaWorld, the Prime Spot to Experience the Longest Duration of the Cosmic Event

Press Release from SeaWorld San Antonio:

SAN ANTONIO, TX., October 10, 2023 – On October 14th SeaWorld will host an out of this world Eclipse Party to commemorate and celebrate the 2023 annular eclipse. Guests can experience the celestial event at the location that features the longest duration of darkness in the San Antonio area, SeaWorld San Antonio.

For this rare event, guests will enjoy an exclusive party zone filled with out of this world fun! Located in Penguin Plaza, the Eclipse Party begins at 10:30 a.m. and lasts throughout the entire eclipse duration. The solar festivities will commence with music, party starters, and will have the ultimate countdown to the annular eclipse. During the incredible moment, solar enthusiasts can indulge in eclipse-themed snacks, drinks with a cosmic twist, and pick up exclusive limited-edition merchandise to remember the extraordinary event. Throughout the eclipse, coasters and attractions will be open for thrill seekers to experience in a different light… or lack of light! In addition, SeaWorld will be giving away 5,000 one-of-a-kind specially designed eclipse glasses that will allow viewers to safely witness the eclipse’s “ring of fire”.  Whether a space fanatic, a thrill-seeker, or someone who simply loves a great party, this event is tailor-made for everyone and is included with park admission.

“At SeaWorld San Antonio, we’re excited about the annular eclipse and are thrilled to offer a front-row seat to this cosmic event,” said Jodi Davenport, SeaWorld Park President. “With our location being a prime spot precisely positioned to experience the longest annular eclipse duration in the city, it was only fitting to host the party of all parties to commemorate the event and it will be one that our guests will never forget!”

Even More Fun as the Day Progresses

For those seeking a different kind of thrill, SeaWorld is offering a lights-on walk-through tour of two of SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream’s haunts, The Swamp at Blackwater Bayou, and DIS-Assembly Line. This exclusive lights-on tour will give haunted house enthusiasts a chance to explore the mysterious haunts in a unique new way.

After the eclipse, partygoers can stay for day and nighttime Halloween festivities. Beginning at 11:15 a.m. guests can enjoy Spooktacular for not-so-scary, kid-friendly Halloween fun. Little ones can enjoy daytime trick-or-treating, a corn maze featuring Spookley the Square Pumpkin, Halloween-themed parades, a Dia de los Muertos realm, and festive shows. Guests wanting more terror and scares can stay until the sun goes down and experience Howl-O-Scream, the biggest, scariest, and screamiest Halloween event in Texas. The brave can experience seven chill bump inducing terror-tories, six horrifying haunted houses, and five special bars where parkgoers can purchase exclusive and limited Howl-O-Scream beverages. The night caps off with two devilish song and dance shows, Sirens Song and Monster Stomp.
